The Challenge

Kish began with an innovative organic fertiliser product: a powdered formulation that, when mixed with water and organic inputs, could be used across acres of farmland. But bringing an innovative agricultural product to market required more than explaining its technical benefits. It needed a brand that farmers across different regions could understand, relate to, and trust.

CI360 travelled across India and interacted with farmers from different geographies and crop zones. The insight was simple but powerful: farmers were not looking for more gyaan. They wanted someone who understood their problems and could offer practical solutions. In the words of the original casebook, “They were looking for a friend.”

The Strategic Question

How do we turn an innovative agricultural product into a brand that feels familiar, trustworthy, and relevant to farmers across India?

Our Approach

We began with on-ground research, using conversations with farmers to understand not just what they needed from the product, but what they needed from the brand.

From this insight, Kish was born. The identity drew inspiration from India’s cultural and agricultural traditions, particularly Krishna and Balram, with Balram traditionally associated with farming and agriculture. This gave the new brand a culturally familiar foundation while allowing it to communicate in a contemporary and approachable way.

CI360 then took the brand from idea to market. We developed the brand identity and brand book, designed the packaging, and created the go-to-market and sales strategy. The product was test-launched across Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, and Maharashtra, allowing the strategy to be applied across different agricultural markets.

Our involvement continued through exhibitions across India and the development of POSM, making CI360 an integral part of the business during its initial brand-building and market-entry journey.
